Before Class Begins
As soon as you register for your online course, you will find it helpful to begin thinking about ways to ensure that you will be successful. Before class begins, there are some simple steps you can take to get you off to a good start:
Although many of these strategies can be used in face-to-face settings, they are essential in online courses. Many online classes must be completed in as little as six weeks. If there are problems that need to be addressed, you will need to attend to them quickly and proactively.
Remember, most courses have activities and assignments that must be completed within the first few days of the term. Even small problems may cause delays and cause you to fall behind. Practice and thinking about solutions before they are needed can make the difference between failure and success.
