Sandra Rigazio-DiGilio, Ph.D

Dr. Rigazio-DiGilio recieved her B.S from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, her M.A at the University of Connecticut, and then returned to the University of Massachusetts at Amherst for her Ph.D. Dr. Rigazio-DiGilio joined the faculty at the University of Connecticut in 1990.

Dr. Rigazio-DiGilio is considered a creative and enthusiastic instructor who uses her extensive academic, professional and clinical experience to create real world examples and perspectives in the classroom. Her flexible incorporation of a variety of instructional mediums and technologies makes her lectures not only engaging and informative but also exciting. As a mentor, she exemplifies professionalism, security in her gender, and commitment to hard work. Dr. Rigazio-DiGilio has made significant contributions to the field of marriage and family therapy. This is evident through her research, extensive publications and the development of her Systemic Cognitive- Development Therapy Model and Meta- theroetical Framework.
