Dr. Daniel Civco received his B.S., his M.S. and his Ph.D from the University of Connecticut, Storrs. He joined the faculty of the University of Connecticut as an assistant professor in 1992.

Dr. Civco is a creative and innovative teacher who has a long history of excellence. He has taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in Earth Resources Information Systems. This is a field that is quite new to the college. He has always worked hard to keep his courses current in a field with rapidly expanding technology. Dr. Civco's organization and presentation of material is exceptional. He also has the ability to take complex technical material and make it comprehensible. He shows true concern for his students and gives each student personal attention. His professional society leadership and involvement , as well as his continuing quality research program have kept him at the frontier of his discipline.
