Students
The Institute for Teaching and Learning indirectly supports students through its work with faculty, teaching assistants and staff to improve the UConn teaching and learning environment and directly supports students through three of its units:
The LRC, Q and W centers work directly with undergraduate students on three of the UConn General Education “Competencies:” computer skills, quantitative skills, and writing skills, respectively. Additionally the Learning Resource Center provides support for UConn’s educational technology systems such as the Vista learning management system and ePortfolio.
Each center provides drop in or scheduled tutoring appointments, workshops, web based content and support, and direct or indirect regional campus support for their respective areas of expertise. Collaboratively, these centers work together to provide seamless, easy to access services to improve student learning.
Students wanting to learn more about any of these three units should visit these Center’s web pages.
