Graphics and Photographic Services supports both classroom and research needs with instruction, professional photography, and graphic design. This service is in part fee based for non-classroom uses, but highly subsidized, material costs make-up the major portion of all costs. Our goal is to provide professional high level technical instruction to the faculty and students to support their classroom and project needs and to make available on campus those photographic and graphic services that are too often unaffordable at off campus prices. We have a full range of photographic and graphic design services including a studio and a wide range of specialized digital workstations for most digital applications.
Our services include:
• One-on-one and small group instruction in digital imaging and photography.
• Software instruction; Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Power Point and FTP clients.
• Technical help for photographic and digital imaging problems.
• Location and studio photography.
• Photographic and poster printing.
• Scanning film, flat materials, books, and large documents such as maps.
• 2 x 2 slide transfers to digital images.
• Digital images to film (35 mm).
• Passport, ID and product photos.
• Short video clips for electronic presentations and the web.
• Still image captures from VHS and DVDs
• CD and DVD authoring.
• Image preparation for the web.
• Full range of graphic design services.
• Giclee prints on acid free archival paper.
• Large digital image transfers via our FTP server of you work in our facilities to you hard drive, publishers, and colleagues around the world.
