Media Producer 1 (UCP VI)
JOB SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of designated supervisor, independently
provides advanced technical and creative skills in a specific
area of media production, through the creation and maintenance
of digital content, learning modules and web pages/sites, as
well as the implementation of education technology in the classroom
and assists in producing complex media projects.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will design and produce graphics,
including but not limited to computer graphics using PhotoShop,
Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash; produce high quality
digital content for instructional environments; write scripts
and/or training manuals in support of media activities; create
instructional material which meets design accessibility standards
for web based content and manage multiple projects within specific
deadlines and/or timeframes. Incumbent will also be expected
to serves as a consultant and resource to the University community
and other clients in area of specialization; supervises and
train students and others, as assigned; provide support to
other media staff to ensure successful completion of assigned
projects and to meet production schedules; meet with clients
to determine client needs and desired results and perform related
duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in media or related field, or equivalent
combination of relevant training and experience and
- At least one year experience in an area of media specialization;
- Experience designing and producing graphics and digital
content;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- The ability to interact constructively with production
team members and clients;
- Demonstrated knowledge of media technology and curriculum
development in a University setting;
- Ability to manage multiple projects within specified
timelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting face-to-face, blended and online
courses;
- Experience with Course management Systems (WebCT, BlackBoard,
etc); and
- Experience creating instructional material that meets
design accessibility standards for web-based content as
well as ADA & Universal Design standards.
This is a full-time permanent position with a starting salary
