Distance Learning

At UConn Stamford, distance learning refers specifically to courses taught using a videoconference system. Video-conference technology enables the students and the instructor to see and hear each other at the same time.

The distance learning classrooms are equipped much like the Stamford campus hi-tech classrooms. Each has a document camera, DVD/CD player, VCR, cable TV tuner, and laptop connections.  Whatever image is displayed in the classroom can be transmitted to the remote site as well, so all students will see the same thing at the same time.
